A Family Reunion

This weekend was hectic, shows from my lack of blogging. Friday started with a little running around Pittsburgh. Looking for furniture for my apartment. The focus right now is bed room furniture. I have decided to keep my dresses but I need a upgrade with my bed. I want a queen. The bed in my room now is a full and it has served me well for the past 10 years. It wasnt a priority to get a new bed because most of my year is spend in Philadelphia at school. Now that I am getting my own place a bigger bed is needed.

After bed shopping, I went with my mom to pick up my nieces and nephew for the family reunion. We all met at a local hotel for a meet and greet. A lot of people there I had never met before. They were my great grandmothers sisters side. I dont know a lot about them. By the time I was born my grandmas mother had passed.  It was great getting to know everyone. I took very few pictures because I had so much fun mingling with my new found family members.

Beyonce on “The View"

Ever since i heard Beyonce sing 1+1 on American Idol I knew I had to have her Cd. She sang with so much heart and passion you just knew ever word that came out her mouth is how she felt about Jay z, granted the song was wrote by The Dream and she added some Sasha Fierce to it lol.

Once her cd came out I rushed to Target and bought the deluxe edition. In the 21st century there is no need to buy a cd but I wanted to support her cold heartedly.

Today she performed on “The View” and it was great the only down fall is that when she sung 1+1 on American Idol it sounds much much better. Maybe it was the microphone system. You figure on a show where people sing the sound system would be way better. The first video is from American Idol and the next two are from The View so tell me which sounds better to you.

Finally Accepted

Today i finally got the call that I have been waiting for, for the last week or so. I got the call from the apartment place in Philadelphia and I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED!

When I first put in the application I was confident that I would get the apartment and everything would go smooth but... as the more time that passed I got nervous like maybe something went wrong or there wasnt any more 2 bedrooms. The things that run through our minds when we are nervous.

So over the next few days I will be thrift shopping for things for my new place. I have decided not to buy all new things expect new bed,towels and kitchen things. You know the sanitary things lol. But as far as a dinning room stuff and living room stuff it can be used. Since this is my first time designing an apartment and I really haven’t really established my home decor senses, its better to buy cheap things so that when I decide what I want I wont be worried about the money I already spent. 

So as I buy things I will be sure to post them and you guys can give me your suggestions on what you think will match.

A Trip To The Mall

Every Summer I try and save up as much money as I can because I know Nordstrom’s has their annual sale and I always go a little crazy.

Last night I couldn’t sleep real well and I saw that I had an email from Nordstrom and decided to check it out. I saw all the sales and got so excited. My blood started racing and my hands got sweaty! I knew that as soon as morning came I had to make my way to the mall quick fast and in a hurry.

Morning came and I made my way to the mall. Only to find out the the MICHAEL KORS watch I wanted...WAS NOT ON SALE IN STORES :(

*lets out huge cry*

So I got the information for the watch came home and it was the same one that was on sale on line so...of course I ordered and I dont know what to do with my self until the day it arrives. In 5 to 7 business days lol.

“No pictures please"

P.S. I started a hair journey. Not really a natural one. It consist of washing my hair almost every other day with shampoo. Then putting leave in conditioner in my hair and putting in up in to a bun. The reason for leave in conditioner is because it replenishes all the things we take out of our hair with heat and not greasing your scalps enough. Pictures will be up after about 3 or 4 weeks.

Something a Little Different

Today I had to take one of my doggies to the vet. Diamond (NOT the one in most of my pictures) is having a little trouble going #2. I know thats a little immature of me to say but I don’t know any other way to put it. According to the vet he needs to have reconstruction surgery and too be neutered. So I have a lot to think about over the next few days. Diamond hates sitting still for pictures but I found one that he was actually willing to take...

Also I tired something new with my make up. I usually just do a regular line with my liquid eyeliner but today I did a winged look with my new creme/gel liner.
